We’ve created an atmosphere for catastrophically disabled individuals to live life in a way that is as meaningful and comfortable as possible. Our care promotes opportunities for recovery and helps the individuals we care for look forward to living.
In the 1980s, Bob (Founder) worked in long-term subacute care, programs and operations. Bob saw an opportunity to create a niche medical model. When a family is in crisis, taking an injured or sick person home can destroy the family. Country Life Care Center is a place in which the family can continue to be a family, without having the burden of being 24/7 care givers.
Bob created subacute level of care for congregate living. He had laws passed in California that allowed people to be treated in a community instead of a hospital. This patient population becomes a lost few. They are often forgotten when in the post-acute phase because there is no buzz or glamor around long-term acute care. Individuals at our care center are part of a community. Our skill and technology stabilize their health while the atmosphere’s design and beauty enrich their lives.
Robert (Bob) brings twenty five years of experience in health care facility development and operations to Country Life Care Center. He is uniquely qualified in the development and operations of sub-acute care facilities. He developed the HealthBridge Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital in Orange, CA. HealthBridge is licensed as an acute care hospital providing specialty programs for children requiring short or long-term care services for recovery from catastrophic illness or injury. His other successful health projects developed and directed include Village Healthcare Centers, Western Neuro Care Center and Meridian Neuro Care Centers, now known as CareMeridian. Bob’s work in the development of successful specialty care programs is well known in the Orange County area of California.
Saundra brings 18 years of experience in health facility development and administration. She is also well known for her work in the development of CareMeridian. Saundra’s work includes development and administrative operations of skilled nursing facilities, hospitals and congregate living health facilities. She was the C.O.O. of CareMeridian from 1989 through 1996. During her tenure at Meridian, Saundra worked on the design, construction, start-up and operations of six long-term health facilities. Sandra left Meridian to work with Bob in the development of HealthBridge Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital. Saundra has established a strong relationship with the California Department of Health Services, from her success in health facility licensure and operational compliance. This is a valuable asset for Country Life Care Center in working with Utah Department of Health regarding the licensure, start-up and ongoing operations of this new facility in Riverton, Utah. Saundra is an important factor in attracting well-experienced staff that she has worked with from other health facilities. Her experience is essential in the design, decorating and start-up of service operations.
